In addition to serving as Treasurer of ASHP from 2007-10 and as ASHP President in 1993-94, he chaired the Board of the ASHP Research and Education Foundation, the Iowa Board of Pharmacy, and the Board of Directors of the Iowa Statewide Poison Control Center.ĭr. from the University of Michigan, and completed his residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center. Abramowitz received a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry and Biology from Indiana University, a Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Toledo, a Pharm.D. He was previously the Director of Pharmacy and a faculty member at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals and the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics.ĭr. He also served as Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy. ![]() Abramowitz worked in hospitals and health-systems for over 30 years, most recently as Associate Hospital Director for Professional Services and Chief Pharmacy Officer at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Prior to joining ASHP in September 2011, Dr. Abramowitz, Pharm.D., FASHP is the Chief Executive Officer of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). (Hon), FASHPĪmerican Society of Health-System Pharmacists Paul was preceded in death by his father brothers, Albert Wentz and a brother in infancy nephews, Wayne Wentz and Kenny Wentz and niece, Kim Wentz.Paul W. ![]() Paul is survived by his children: Charity and husband, Gary Haugland of McVille, ND, Sarah and husband, Eric Faul of Jamestown, ND, Joshua Wentz and wife, Stephonie of Elk River, MN and Paul Wentz and wife, Vanessa of Minot, ND his mother, Catherine Wentz of Minnewaukan grandchildren, Anthony and Catherine Haugland Jason Johnson, Madyson, Gage and Paris Faul Joshua Wentz and step-grandson, Levi Bartram great granddaughter, Paidon McKay mother of their children, Jeanet Oja of Minot sisters and brothers: his twin brother, Peter (Barb) Wentz, LeRoy (Desi) Wentz, Ralph (Jane) Wentz, Jim Wentz, Larry Wentz, Joan (Charles) Korb and Edward Wentz all of Devils Lake, Wendelin (Norma) Wentz, Spokane, WA, Mary Ann (Nick) Hettwer, Munich, ND, Leona (John) Borg, Washington, Dennis (Ruth) Wentz, Minnewaukan and Gerald Wentz, Minot many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Paul loving Son, Dad and Grandpa had been caring for his mother the past few years and was always the best cheerleader and defender of his kids and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren. He enjoyed woodworking in his younger years and now had come to enjoy riding motorcycle with friends. Some of the true stories included riding a bike from Minot to Devils Lake and also his trip to Sturgis, South Dakota on his motorcycle. He enjoyed telling stories and letting the listener decide if it was truth or fiction. Paul was famous for making every event and every visit FUN. He shared his collecting, bringing something special to his children and grandchildren whenever he visited or whenever they visited, sending them home with a special treasure from Grandpa. Paul was united in marriage to Jeanet Reichenberger in 1975.Īfter retiring, he enjoyed auction sales, rummage sales and collecting-collecting anything and everything. He worked road construction and janitorial service for many years but was forced to retire due to health problems. He attended Lake Region State College, Devils Lake and also attended college in Minot. He was reared and educated in the Minnewaukan area and made Minnewaukan his home for most of his life. Paul George Wentz, a twin and one of fifteen children to Nicholas and Catherine (Scherr) Wentz was born on Januat Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake. Burial will be in the Minnewaukan Cemetery in the spring.įriends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Monday from 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial for Paul will be held on Tuesday, Maat 10:00 a.m. Wentz, 58 of Minnewaukan, ND passed away on Friday, Februat his home.
